It's a very small world! I lived in Yakima for a while, have friends in Zillah and I know Port Angeles well from living in Port Townsend as a kid!

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Single
About Me:
I'm a grandma (also a great-grandma) who's recently started writing.
I also enjoy painting, leather tooling and beading. I think most people take life too seriously. Life should be fun and filled with laughter.

Under Flashing Blue Mom Snags White

Mom stood, under yet another flashing blue light, thinking she must buy them all at fifty cents a pair. I'm sure the smiling clerk was laughing inside as she bagged more than twety pair of white canvas shoes. Mom said, pride in her voice, that she had white tennis shoes for my kids and all their friends. I looked at her bargain, my heart tumbling, and wondered if I could tell her that kids won't wear a woman's white canvas shoe even if they fit. I never told her Goodwill got all but the four pair two old ladies down the street took. Mom's passion for that flashing blue light was many times a mixed blessing.
