What must the world look like to light bulbs?

All scalps and cleavage, tips of noses and the occasional pair of protruding ears.
In empty rooms, just dust. Perhaps a few dirty footprints, and the stains left by un-coastered cups.

A light bulb would know about the time your parents were out of town, and you and an old flame drank their liquor and replaced it with water, then made love on their king size bed.

Once upon a time, I decided to learn Japanese.

I did so by turning on the subtitles when watching Cowboy Be-Bop, and other manga dvds. I embraced the foreign sounds, wrapping both my mind and tongue around every nuance.

In retrospect, phrases such as "Dammit man, I'm a bounty hunter - I don't like your kind," and "we have no hyperdrive because the reactor is broken," were neither practical, nor very social.
"The last train just left, now we will have to teleport," remains my favourite.
