"Thanks for the lovely comment. I guess in the end it comes down to individual. I am always fascinated when I ask people why they got married, other than the obvious reason: love."

"I have had the experience of the man's family welcoming me so openly that it was intoxicating, and certainly a reason to go farther. Ultimately, though, when one is faced with that person on a daily basis, that is all that matters and outside…"

Reasons to Wed

When Dan got down on his knees and opened the small box Kate briefly closed her eyes. However, she did not see memories of passionate love. What she saw was Dan's mother as she opened her bountiful arms and greeted her like the mother she never had. She saw evenings spent with his sister, eating popcorn and watching silly vampire movies while the others slept. She saw the chilly morning by the lake when she was all bundled up and his father's faithful smile convincing her that fishing was a…See More

"I just finished a fictional account of Hemingway's years in Cuba-at one point, a novelist friend asks EH why he writes, if it's so hard. EH replies the only thing that hurts worse is not writing."

Inspiration

Am I the only one who can only hear the characters when they speak from a place of pain? Why is it only in the darkness that the letters make sense, the lives form and the destinies decided? It is in the light that a sense of nothingness exists where the search for clarity is pointless. There is a fear that I will have to exist in this dark space to feel my greatness. The question he had asked her was simple enough, yet Liz struggled to find the answer.

“Tell me one example of a healthy marriage that you know,” as he uttered the words Rob had stared pointedly at her his eyes sad and resigned. It had been ten years and it was a discussion that they had had…

The old unfamiliar Dance

Posted on March 15, 2010 at 9:36pm 4 Comments

Anne knew that she should step off the stage, that this was a dance for which she should forget the steps. But customary to nature, she ignored all thoughts of self-preservation. In the lighted seconds, as her feet began…

You've got it waiting for you when you make it up NewEngland way or I find my way to your isle. For now though, drink up where good'meant laughter lights up your eye'places. Glad we are in agreedom ~ Everything is what we make of it ... what we put into it ... how we perceive it when we make it our own.
