Blackout

I remember winning a drinking bet against my guy friend over five, ten, fifteen bottles of flavored soju. I stood up in merriment - lights became circles... stars whirling around my head. I remember the taste of strawberry syrup, and yogurt, and pineapple and lychee, and all the sweetest things there ever was. My friends cheered at us, and the world was beautiful. Then again, I don't remember what exactly happened. Now I'm here, safe and sane on my bed, and my guy friend snoring right into my…See More

Break Fast

Been drinking plenty of water these days. She's reaching for another glass right now. Lukewarm with lemon. Her phone rang, and it's only the thousandth missed call calling for her attention to gluttonous feasts with her trendy frenemies, luring her to the dreadful carbs in those cakes served in such innocent portion neatly placed right at the heart of a gigantic plate that I'm sure is meant to deceive its diner - there's triple the calories than meets the eye. The ringing stopped, she was…See More

The Playwright: All the World's a Stage

You quit your job. You lose your friends. You’re far behind, and life becomes a serious work. You begin to fear, especially on stage, presumably why you now smoke. More smoke, then another, and you’re done, and then you’re gone. Congratulations, you’ve just written a legendary script for a play.

Weapon of Choice

Wake up with the sun. Go for a morning run, let your skin to glow. Floss your teeth, dip into a milk bath. Pat on mineral powder, put on crimson lipstick. Get out of the house, now. Shine, woman.

Twisting a Cinderella Story

Load your pumpkins on that wheelbarrow. Push it. Reverse the cows, girl, and with your staff, don’t moan a moo but say bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. Let the rocking horses get into a comfortable position, and flash, there’s your carriage showing up – hop in. Now enjoy the ride, do jump for joy. You don’t want to miss a ball, do you?
