" Too funny, Sabrina. As a guest in my brother's home, I was bunked in my nephew's room with a cage holding his 14-lb. rabbit. Eau d' Gag there, too. @T - only the avatar tipped me off to a coming punchline."

Oh Little Kitty

Oh my little kitty, how much I love you. Petting over your silky soft fur relaxes me when I’m stressed and calms my nerves on a bad day. Your rhythmic purring that vibrates my leg when you are content. Even when playing those sharp needle teeth biting into my hands and razor sharp claws scratching my arms is precious to me. When I’m sound asleep during the night and you clamp down on my unsuspecting toes like a great white shark snatching its prey, I still find you irresistible. Oh such a…See More

Shattered Dreams

The battered woman walked thru her house like a veteran with post tramatic stress--except her war never ended; tip toeing around on a floor made of eggshells. At any given time she may unknowing step on a land mine; turning her world into a battle field she did not want--words deployed unto her like weapons of mass destruction. The soul of a once happy, energetic woman who was full of dreams; now shattered into pieces and replaced with a deep dark menacing shadow of depression. Devoid of any…See More

New Day

As I step out into the fresh dewey morning air; an awakening chill fills my body, awakes my mind. Streching my muscles tight , arms wide open like greeting a long lost friend. deeply inhaling air so moist; cleansing my body from the long dry night. Birds sing a gleeful morning tune; while creatures of the night go back to their lairs awaiting nightfall to return. My nose filled with the wonderful aroma of fields of green; eyes locked into the brillant sky, colors of lavender, red, yellow and…See More

"In the opening sentence, you made a striking connection between "peace" and "piece" - without actually stating it aloud. Interesting six."

Peace

Jagged knife slicing thru; tearing and piercing the essence of a soul. Pouring into a puddle of what will never be again. No help for the fragile or weak, so easily gone within a wink. Falling victim to such a fate. Destroyed by a world that does not tolerate. The essence of the fall'in blow among the wind: with a peace and love, one day we will understand.See More

Confusion and Delusion

Open my eyes confusion sets in from the terrors that fill my mind. Fighting the delusion of life; eyes are watching my every move made; the face in the mirror I do not reconize. Attacking against all rationale sense, waiting for something, someone to cleanse this mess. Beg, plead, prayfor relief; wildly spinning in disbelief. Dizziness and panic take hold, muscles tight, heart racing, total loss of control. Now at a point of no return, never to remember anything learned.See More
