Silence

I stand in the centre of a silent barn filled with an odd mixture of curiosity, surprise, pride and love and as I remember it’s as if my sorrow is suspended. I remember you building it for Mom; she wanted a horse, needed a barn; you gave her both. You’d come home from work and go until dark; it was the same with the paddock, every post hole you dug, every plank perfected, every nail hit, all expressions of your love. The barn finally built, the horse arrived and I fell in love and my path…See More

Hey folks!
This is not a 6S but a shout-out/flash to/for my Dad.
I guess I just feel compelled to share it wherever I can.
A nice memory, a loving memory, of a nice, loving father.
It's called Dad's Black Yamaha Motorcycle of the 80's
and you can find it here, http://bit.ly/ciek7Z

Todd was a worrier, a worrier who liked to eat beets; this was an unfortunate combination of personality traits.

Light, warmth, heat, fire; thick smoke mingled with the smell of autumn. Leaves swirled and the moon glowed overhead as they discarded their clothes, moving closer to the crackling fire. Barefoot, their feet danced on moist earth and fallen leaves. They held hands and circled to the right for seven skips then changed direction and danced to the left for twelve beats, then right, then left; as their chanting grew louder they surged forward, caught up in the moment. One didn't join the circle but… Continue
