Well, Lisa, I'd love to read the final. I'm sure it's long past and you're on to other things now. I just joined 6S and was skimming around. It's a great concept. I hope you were pleased and your instructor gave you a really positive response. If ...

Perceptions Differ... Ok guys need your input here!

I wrote this and would like to enter into the literary competition at my college. It needs fine tuning and any advice and suggestions would be most beneficial!! Pretty please??

Two girls walk into a room. It is a plain room with white walls and hardwood floors the perfect shade of brown. The only thing in this room is a small table pushed up against the wall. On this dull off-white table is a midnight blue vase filled with a bouquet of multi colored roses. Above the flowers, on the wall is aContinue

Inner Woman...posted here at Rob's request

I am posting this here as per the email I got from Rob today. Poor guy is backed up at the other page. Hope you like it, and as always, please leave feedback!

Inner Woman

They see the vibrant, positive, happy go lucky lady that is glad things are finally going her way. She doesn’t show them the real woman inside. She doesn’t share all the pain she suffers through every day, the hurt that is still as painful today as it was two months ago, the anger that still lingers and the uncertainty of… Continue

A Squirrel Story

This is a story that a friend of mine wrote after we had a power outage that was caused by a squirrel. The newspaper deemed it was a squirrel suicide, and my friend sat down and came up with this great little story. It's too cute not to share. Enjoy!!!

Last year our town had a power outage that was deemed a squirrel suicide. I came up with the following story as a joke and the local paper published it. Enjoy.

One of my longer pieces...unfinished

This is a long read, so if you don't have a bit of time to read it, you'll need to come back later. I did this as a class assignment. Althouigh I got a high B on it, it is unfinished. I would like to expand on it alot more, but am very stuck. If anyone would like to give me feedback, critism, and/or suggestions, I will gladly take them!! Anyway, please read and let me know!!

Thanks, I replied. Nice work with your work in 6S v.2 :D! That's so exciting.

And the Lazy Lizards Love Laughing thingy is so cute. Aren't there some books that can help with that?

Hey Lisa...

Just noticed that you deleted the blogs... Was there a reason why? I'm hoping everything is getting better for you on your side of the world :)

I don't think that's what she ment. One thing I always tell my kids is "If you think you can, you're right. If you think you can't, you're right." If my kids say "I've tried and I can't", then in essence they have given up. Half the battle in any situation is mustering up enough courage to say "YES I CAN!" and if you hit a wall, if the police or the shelter or whoever doesn't give you the right answer you keep pushing and pushing and pushing until you get what you need. No one can do that for you. We can rally behind you, cheer you on, but ultimately you're the one who must say "YES I CAN!"
With love,
Chris

I don't think anyone thought you were being rude or inconsiderate. (I certainly didn't) We're worried about you that's all.

Yes, daisies will do just as well I think. They are such happy, whimsical things, don't you think? I actually bought the plant the other day. A nice purply pink color. Very cheerful.

Yes, Kate is a VERY remarkable woman in so many many ways. I say we all buy her some daisies. So many daisies that we fill her house with rainbows and she'll wonder what happened to her savings account. :)

Lisa,
I'm sorry I haven't read your blogs sooner. Lady*Kate, who knows me well, sent me over to your Inner Woman blog and I wished I had started to read your writing sooner. You wrote that piece so real and true. I share that kind of hurt with you, and I can completely relate to how you function from day to day. Nice to have met you and I look foward to reading your writes. I just read Kate's note below. What a positive idea, this tulip giving is. What color are you going to buy?
