So sad. Well-written, but sad feeling. It's this season that brings these feelings out in us, don't you think?

Dear Kim ... I've got an Uncle Bobby too ... and he and my dad and all the uncles and two aunts hailed from tiny Perryopolis ... not that far from Pittsburgh, so . . . no such thing as a coincidence that we're connected once again. Sending the subtle strength of a hug and the gladness that a simple song on my page pulled at the right feelings of the power of your emotions. Use them now to send all the love you can 'round Uncle Bobby and trust he'll feel it and know an inner smile splashed back your way.

(Best I can do, but my spirit's out there with you ... glad we're sharing some PA fam)

my fifth floor walkup was in wash heights! my heart remains in new york... the consideration to move back is high on my list. (the best thing about a fifth floor walkup? you have the legs and bum of a 17 year old! ahaha!)

Dear make-me-get-grin Kim-Robin, I could not produce any finer way to thank you for the warmth you reflected back, following the warmth that *Peppers and Zen* stirred in real life. I really do hope/trust you are encountered with a similar experience and someone close urges you to "set it to story" -- for you do that so well. ~ Kate, quite absolutely

You thank me for having *JOY*, Miss Kim*Robin? ... (lovin' the music while I'm here, feeling on the moors with a mist and almost a bagpipe moment with Deva spirits a'peekin' through the forest)

Your vignettes speak well so they rather call folks on over.
You see, you've trained them well.
~ Curiousity of the Kate where value=vignettes come out to play shall absolutely be there . . . joy, pleasure and occastionally a neat smirk at the turn of one of your phrasings . . .

Just got to the 'Magic Shores' part of the tinkling like a hidden water's crystal waterfall-pool ... superb taste ... many thanks for your note on a damp but brilliant-hued fall day when I must first attend a funeral, all the while wrapped in concern of sickness of a friend and colleague, rallying others to help. Little did you know what your light gentle words would do to *fortify* ... quite absolutely.

Dear Friend

Where are you now dear friend?
Is it dark and cool, comforting and warm?
You left on this brisk and stormy morning, your mind not wanting to go so soon.
The body that carried you for all of those years, with a beating heart as good as gold,
ceased while you slept.
And I, a part of you, dear friend.
And you, a part of me dear friend.

My White Clock

My jumbled room is garlanded with jeweled tone, hand-dyed, balls of yarn that cheer up lonely corners. Scraps of wool and cotton fabrics, multicolored tubes of watercolors and boxes of pastels, chalk and oil, litter my wooden, sturdy work table and wait for their time to become. Coveted conch shells found long ago and newly fallen small twigs and branches with personality decorate the mantle. And then there’s my clock. My clock without hands. It prefers not to remind me of the time that rapidly… Continue

The Snowman

Greeted by the sweetly
formed , frozen snow.
Twigs wide open
welcome me home.
A warm heart swayed tiny hands
to surprise a touched girl.
An ice-covered gift.
A sparkling statue of undivided love.
Finn did it again.

It’s Beginning to Look A Lot like Something

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire; the man lying on the cracked, frozen cement, wrapped in a torn blanket, sleeps.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas; many linger alone, sprinkled throughout the city, aging in timeless rockers as their fragile minds swirl with images of better days gone by.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow; the boys in the backyard dig a giant hole in the soft muddy earth and find a couple of sleepy snakes under the schist near the rose bush that… Continue
