I decided that words only go so far when reading a Kevin Michael’s sharp stack of six, for gulp and swallow lines like “The way you let yourself be treated is all a man has” lurk just under a tipped Phillies cap (headed for the Series). “Hustle and Grind” spit out tough gritty KM genre from the streets, faster than 18 turns 30. Shot up with gross-me-out to get there euphoria, I was needled further by voices on “The Inside” from the outside ~ How you make despair speak, Kev. I caught pain at “Catching Paradise”, just the way you painted it. Cripes! Then that long thin scar crisscrossed my reading jagged back under . . . yep . . . Phillies cap’s off to you tough street writer! ~ your fan, Absolutely*Kate
