- Jeanette’s work has been published on several online writing sites and in print. She’s published in thirteen Anthology books and four Poetry books. Three of these books have made the New York Times Best Sellers list. Awarded The Helium Networks Premium Writer’s Badge, Bronze Creative Writing Award and a Marketplace Writers award. Hard work does pay off. In November I found out I was published in Rhonda Smolarek’s Pen Ten’s. (The Pen 10 Scribes Anthology). The beginning of December I found out I was published in Annmarie Lockhart latest poetry collection (Inspirations: Images and Words).
This morning I found out that Blake Cooper’s Anthology for Thinking Ten A Writers Playground (Academic Edition) is out today and I’m also published in it. My lucky #13 for me-- THIS HAS BEEN A WILD RIDE. Thanks to all of you that have cheered me on.
I’ve been on Six Sentences since before the social side was created. It’s one of my favorite places online. Whether you’re reading or writing there is a story for everyone. I’m told I’m a prolific writer. Here is a sample of one of my poems.
Who I Am
I'm not just a vessel
containing ovaries,
Breasts and a womb.
There's more to me than
housework, raising
children and preparing
meals.
Being a friend . . . a
beautiful soul, mother
and wife sums up the
fact . . . I am a woman.
If you keep the twinkle
in your eyes . . . when you
whisper I will hear you
in the night. Love me or leave me,
I'm on a journey. Hold on tight.
