I have an AA in Teaching, am completing a BA in English this year, and work with autistic elementary school students. After completing my degree, I plan on teaching English at the secondary level. I've always been a fan of science fiction, but probably less so of fantasy. I suppose that's due to my scientific training. One good definition of science is that the fact is inevitably more astounding than the fiction. I'm forever in awe of the t...

Thank you for all of the entries. Great work everyone! THE WINNER IS... "Frozen in the Kingdom" by Anthony Venutolo http://sixsentences.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-fred-meyer-6s-scifi-1 The creativity and pictures were both excellent. Good stuff...

I normally write more fantasy and sci fi but for some reason I come over all literary on 6S. Maybe it's because longer sentences work better in literature and drama or because it's harder to paint a new world in such a short piece.

Are you addicted to this 6S stuff? I am.. It is fun to read and write this way. I will take a crack at your challenge even though I have never written Sci-Fi before:)

ABout you is cool... I am a caffeine junkie, but a snob about the stuff I swill. I can sing but can't swing a bat or a tennis racket. I admire the work you do at the computer - and off - and the work you will do in thr future - on the computer, and off. And I plan to write until they pry the keyboard out of my fingers - novels, poems, shorts. The End.

Thanks for friending me! Peace, Linda

Just so you know, short stories are my ultimate ambition. I either end up with an essay or a novel... have a hard time hitting that ultimate length where everything is perfect. And, my sister is a secondary level English teacher as was my mother, as was my father. I choose to write.
