I like to write. I live in Chicago, with two teenage son's, two cats a bulldog and foster bull dogs taht come into my home monthly and a husband. I work at a University, take classes and writing workshops and fiddle with my own material on my own time. I eat clean, work out every day and like to travel.

Opposites attract, right?

My lips move, then stop and begin again with,
'We have different priorities.'
The words stick in my throat,
choke me,
betray me as I struggle
to hold back the tears and let go, with no luck.

In ice cream flavors
I am strawberry to
his Moose Tracks
and when we mix
it does not always taste right,
but opposites attract, right?

No real flooding in my area, but I had two friends in Cedar Rapids who lost their homes to the flood. They're okay now though.
