quin, Is there any other choice than surprise? Bob, I loved the quote! Thanks. Irene, Wow, sorry to hear about your losses. The questions still haunt me, I guess that's why I wrote the post. As I get older, the questions haunt me more and they bri...

Having lost both my parents and my son, I think about it all the time and in a way, I've found an answer I can live with.

I suspect eveybody has asked this question at some time or other. And will contiue to ask it until the big guy with the scythe taps you on the shoulder. Personally I kind of like the quotation of Epicurus, ever the pragmatist. "Death does not co...

Actually, it is the one time I'd prefer a surprise..... Does make you go "hmmmmm" though.

Quin, I'm hoping there isn't going to be a part two with tadpoles but a part two with clear water and cannonballs!

Kathleen, thanks for the comment, that was the effect I was going for. Quin, I am not a dancer at all, but always wanted to be. I'm glad to hear I came close to describing a dancer's reality.

Kip! Nicely done. You've been busy here, in spite of your protests to the contrary. I loved it all but especially this: "and don't even ask why I felt compelled to couch this request in six sentences--maybe it's because I just have the sort of bra...

i await part two, when the tadpoles start showing up... aha!

i have friends who are dancers, and this pretty much describes how they've spoken of the art form.

I can see that - can see a dancer as you write.

Thanks for the "welcome to the 6," which sounds a bit creepily cultish, but then, what writers worth their salt are not open to new experiences? Hope I can manage to spend a little time here ... your presence is incentive. All would-be flirters, stay away, I was in cyberlove with Cat first.

Yeah, probably the odds of you ever looking like Wonder Woman are not so good...but Super Man...that's another story! :)

Cat, another story all right, in my dreams, except no shiny blue underwear with a big red S on my chest. LOL!

Hi darling, thanks for the intro, this looks like a cool site. Maybe I'll even find time to explore it more.

So nice that you thought of me.

Hello, and welcome.

Whatever you do, don't encourage Whitney's Wonder Woman thing - he knows how to use youtube, and well...I don't need to spell it out for you (insert golden lariat joke here).

Thanks for welcoming me to the 6! Being a teacher and a mom, might qualify me for Super Mom, but I'd rather look like Wonder Woman! :)

Me, too! What are the odds?

Welcome to the Fun House! Any mother who teaches elementary school is automatically dubbed Super Mom.

Have fun, Supe!

do you ever wonder?

Do you ever stop to think what happens to you when you leave this place, when you breathe your last, when you finally, due to the failure of vital bodily systems to keep pumping blood, pushing air and firing synapses, cease to exist in this physical world we call Life? Do you think a person with thoughts, energy, vibrant enthusiasm, humor, intelligence, emotion, passion and spirit ceases to completely exist altogether or do we simply continue our existence elsewhere in a different realm or a fur… Continue

Dance

Music communicates, moving the body to answer in swirling, leaping, effortless motion. The human body, in the form of a gifted. talented dancer, is capable of creating emotion, telling stories, taking the viewer away to another dimension. Love, heartbreak, passion, romance, grief, joy, life, death lie dormant till brought to life through music and given sight in dance when chord meets choreography. Music lives in human form through the dancer. Dance is emotion seen as well as felt.

Sick Swimming Pool

It's not behaving like itself, our backyard swimming pool. Something went wrong over the 4th of July and now its crystal clear and sparkling like diamonds water ceased providing us with our expected summer time reprieve. A new pool stands where our old one was, green, cloudy, unchanging no matter the amount of chemicals, cleaning or filtering provided. Our pool is silent, moping, punishing us for we know not what. It so green I think it's going to puke. So much for summer fun.
