I think your emotions are very strongly expressed inthis piece. Its short and ironic as well as deep. Good Read.

I think it's kind of neat that we both came up with the same idea. Perhaps we should become friends and check with each other before we post stuff, first. Wanna be my friend? I wrote my piece just this morning because I was thinking about my 86-yea…

This is too ironic Bev. I wrote a similar idea last night and you're going to think it's plageristic but I swear I didn't see your post before I wrote mine. You think there is something in the water?

You know, I think every child feels at some point in his/her life that she is different in some way and that everyone is staring, pointing, jeering, asking, and talking. You summed this up perfectly in short order. Congratulations!

Actions and Words

Mama wouldn’t look at me.
“But you know it already,” she said, her face turning red.
“Maybe, Mama, but you never say it.”
“Don’t my actions speak louder than the words?” Mama wanted to know.
I made circles on the carpet with the toe of my shoe, before looking up at her.
“Actions,” I hesitated, “don’t stick with you, as long as the words do.”

Different

People stop and stare.
Voices jeer.

His Day Job-part three

Restlessness beset the crowd again, as the cloaked man began to sway back and forth while murmuring incantations and waving his hands hypnotically.

“I know not, Sire,” the hooded man stated.
“I only know that it was my duty as the executioners son to perform the hanging whilst my father recuperates from his illness.”
“But talk is that you are a seer, a magician and a healer, so you would know if this man deserved a hanging or not,” the King persevered.
