Once Upon a Kate . . . absolutely.

* AIN'T THAT A KICK IN THE HEAD? *

When marimba rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me

Make me thrill as only you know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now

You know how

About Me:
I WRITE. THEREFORE, I AM. I ponder the world and do my darnedest to make it a better place, with moxie. The world needs more moxie. I create, design. stir and sensate. Those of damn good worth and value are the true enrichments of life. At the confluence of two, count'em two, rivers. I love, learn, laugh and linger as water flows and sense becomes sensibility.

IRONS IN THE FIRE? I've got plenty -- promotional-publishing, writing by design, playing the deep blues and the high jazz and all that pizazz that makes a life well lived a life well worth writing through. Regrets? I've had a few but then again, too few to mention. A tapestry-weave background of newspapers and media, art, culture, entertainment and tourism boards of directorships, political scenes and sports arenas (Go Steelers!) have rambled me into New England. I met Bob Frost by a low stone wall and we agreed on those roads less traveled making all the difference. A reverent rousing sense of rapture for the written word, images which speak, inspiration of pique, nature's perennial appeal, beachwalks' zeal, music which moves souls, and souls that do likewise . . . all urge ever the reach ~ farther, further.

Sorry the book was thrown at me for being so incompetently inept at bloggerology.

Kate, the sad part is, I have a cat. An old, corpulent, lazy, cat who I love dearly but who is no mouser. The dog, however, did catch one the other day. Mice are one of the big draw backs to country life.

I lived in New York for three or four years and I used to drive by the Stadium regularly, but never had the urge to go. I've been to Wrigley, Skydome, The Ed, Candlestick, Camden Yards, Connie Mack, The Vet, Dodger Stadium and next year The Bank. In the minor leagues I've rooted for the Trenton Thunder, (before they became a Yankee affiliate) and Camden RiverSharks (one of the greatest minor league names ever). Next year I'm going to see the Iron Birds, Orioles, Phillies and RiverSharks. Sorry, no room for Yankee Stadium on my dance card. I hope this series goes to seven games that would be fantastic for us baseball fans. Think of the managerial machinations, the drama, tension and joy of seeing a great baseball game. Enjoy watching the game.

Luv Ya still.

One good turn...

I understand "Bull's BBQ" the home of the "Bull Dog" grilled hot dog is great, perhaps next season a field trip to the "Bank" might be fun.

Kate--thought I'd let you know; the pirate/detective of mine found in Ffolkes' Medicine is working thru pre-preduction processes as we speak. It should be out . . . . . soon?

Glad you liked it. My postcard to work arrived almost 2 weeks after our return. I also found out that because I hadn't had my glasses on when I chose it, I didn't notice that the person standing on the beach in the postcard vista was actually - erm - not appropriately dressed... (she was only tiny in the picture!). Luckily no one took offence (knowing it would be out of character for me to send something "racy")! I quickly cut a bit of post-it sticky note and drew a Dalek which I stuck over the person!
