This is Erin McCarley.  She has a beautiful voice and after listening to this song, Lovesick Mistake, and reading the lyrics I couldn't get over how well words matched the longing in the melody.  Read, listen and enjoy.

Lovesick Mistake

Oh dear, what can I say?

I'm high here, up and spinning away

From a kiss of a thrill to be filled; can someone hear me?

Love, what do you say?

Your mystery winds me up to be playful  ***

Oh here goes that curious sinner within...

Is somebody listening?

Hope no one is listening.

How do I slow down?

Cause I can't relate to my  heart now

Thrown what I know is enough for me out

I'm running on empty

I've gotta find someway

To fumble right through this new heartache, it's torn me apart

Oh Lovesick Mistake

Turn me away

Time says, "It's the end of the day."

My inside says for your lips to forget what time says

Why can't I let go of the feel when you steal the logic around me?

God save me

I'm trying...

How do I slow down?

Cause I can't relate to my heart now

Thrown what I know is enough for me out

I'm running on empty

I've gotta find someway

To fumble right through this new heartache, its torn me apart

Oh Lovesick Mistake

Turn me away

I think I'll disappear

Leave my head in the air for a chance to feel

Far far away from here

I know I can't stay too long

Cause I don't belong here

How do I slow down?

Cause I can't relate to my heart now

Thrown what I know is enough for me out.

I'm running on empty

I've gotta find someway

To fumble right through this new heartache, it's torn me apart

Oh Lovesick Mistake

Turn me away

Turn me away...

Just think, Bette Midler paid $1,000,000 for a song some obscure writer had in her "pile".

Agreed.
Now the trick is in finding out how best to splice a soundtrack into our pieces without using up too much of our precious six sentences. Perhaps, mmm-mm-mmm, that mmm-mm-mmm device mentioned a while ile-ile back might be mmm-mm-mmm useful here.
Or we might take crayons to the words.
The song is lovely. I hope some pop divas take note.
Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm - Mind if I join you? This version of the song ain't nothin'! The CD is much better but this version made the lyrics easier to understand. I'm one of those BINGE music lovers - I listen to a new CD over and over again until I should be sick of it. I'm still overindulging in this one.
