I am sure that there are certain quotes that you have read or heard that have struck a cord. They may have aligned with the way that you feel about a certain topic, maybe they bring back a memory or just make you laugh.

What kind of quotes do you like? Why do you like to read quotes? Maybe you don't like quotes at all. I would like to hear your thoughts. Send me your favorite and who said them.

I can share a quote with you from my novel, WHISPERS FROM ST. MARY'S WELL. The story's narrator, Carrie Rose Stillwell, slipped into a hypnotic trance and witnessed the traumatic childhood of her great-grandmother. Contemplating the secret she discovered during her trance, she says, "Tethered to the universe by tendrils of history, with threads of continuity descending to God knows where, I see that I'm more than the dust I'll become." Tons of folks have told me reading that line made them wonder if the mystical inheritance of Carrie Rose might also apply to them.
Thank you for sharing your intriguing quote. I deduce that these words by Carrie Rose create a realization for her that she is of value and that her discovery has somehow changed her? You have aroused my curiosity.

I would love to include your quote with reference on my Quotes Quotable web site. Please let me know if you are agreeable.
Yes, definitely, you may share my quote. You are right about its meaning. When book club readers finish the novel, they often discuss events that Carrie Rose witnessed in her great-grandmother's life that revealed the value and true essence of the life we live in our temporary flesh.

Any fool can learn from his own mistakes; it's the wise that profit from others.

If you only put in your 2-cents, don't expect any change.

I have no tolerance for people's stupidity; I put up with enough of my own.

I have a bunch of 'em; maybe I should write 'em down. Or do what others have done; wait til i'm dead and someone else will write 'em down.

Pot's on... KAWFEEEE

A lot of great quotes! I love quotes--and can't remember a single goddamn one of them right now, so I'm going to lay a bunch of mine on you from short stories I've written:

Like Prince said one time, parties aren't meant to last. The guys who don't get the message are guys who die by the inch. --from Stevie Wonder

Never steal from your mom if she's got a shotgun. --from Clocked

Love isn't just blind; sometimes it's flat stupid. --from What a Man Does For Love

Even heaven is hell for the poor schlucks who work there. --from Maintenance Man

Tell me your hero and I'll tell you what's cooking with you. --from The Eviction

All that rank Alpha Dog bullshit has turned our country into a kennel. --from Dog Pound Blues

The American Dream. Mostly opium smoke. The dreamers all think it's a roadmap. --from An American Dream

Time was when horror meant Bela Lugosi, Dracula, that stuff. These days they'd take Vlad the Impaler and punk-slap his ass and make him turn tricks in an alley. --from Horror

If you're interested, a lot of these stories are posted over at the A Twist of Noir blogsite. And that's my last self-promotional bit of the day. Good night.
