Shall we try a pair of parables? Daniels Challenge

How about a double six challenge. Write a pair of parables, either connected or separate but in one post.

Blog it, I'll log it, we'll vote in one week.

PS, I've not got Barry's detailed mind, nor have I Kate's finesse, but I do like a good parable and a pair of parables is comparable to, well, good things I'm sure.

That is quite the challenge indeed... Not only one parable but two.... I better get thinking. I love a good challenge.

So a parable is a story that teaches a lesson, right? There is something I have in mind, but I don't know if it is considered a parable. So maybe I'll take the main lesson or idea from the first and make it more obvious in the second parable. Is this what you had in mind?
