What are all you Sixers doing now that Rob has been abducted by extraterrestrials? Are you now Teners, or is there some other venue I can use for quieting the voices?

Jared Handley is looking into building a new site for us.  For now, I'm printing any sixes I care to keep and whatever happens happens...  We know Rob is alive, but is he well?  This is stranger than strange.

His disappearance is food for some interesting stories:

  1. As I said, he may have been abducted by aliens, and is undergoing weird medical prodedures as we speak.
  2. He could be in North Africa boozing it up with Kaddhafi, and is responsible for the recent increase at the pump.
  3. Perhaps he's serving hard time due to unpaid parking tickets.
  4. His car may have broken down somewhere in northern Minesota, and he's still walking to the nearest gas station.
  5. He might be pushing up six daisies.
  6. Or, as others have implied, maybe he just doesn't give a shit any more. It happens.

Any thoughts, Sixers? I've been absent as well due to death, foreclosure, job loss, etc., but I'm feeling much better now (not really) and would be glad to help get the wheels back on the bus.

Rob is active on Facebook, so he is fine.  The other 6S site (not NING) will be declared a "dead market" by duotrope.com on April 11 if the site isn't updated.  I think he's just abandoned the projects.  Someone else might want to take over, but NING is no longer free so there would be other issues to deal with.

So it's not this site that's going down the tubes on April 11? Yet if NING is no longer free, when do the charges, whatever they are, going to kick in? On that date?

It seems to me that if McEvily has abandoned 6S, he ought to just say so. Letting us dangle like this is fairly contemptuous, seems to me.
