How helpful has the "6" concept been to you in developing your writing?

As a newbie, I'm still finding my feet with the 6 sentence thing.

It seems to me that it requires you to be more disciplined and concise in your writing without necessarily abandoning the "prose form" in favour of poetry, for example.

The few goes I've had (involving restructuring some old material) made me refocus my attention with (I believe) improved results.

What say you all?

You are right Dan; these days when i chat with my friends online i tend to write the entire words and no short forms. And my friends appreciated me that when i chat with them online i am more expressive.
i always enjoyed writing but I used to feel very lazy to write it down on paper. Through 6S i am making a habit to write at least 6s everyday. Even though it must have been less then a week and i still feel a part of this site.
i agree with you...
It definitely forces you to cut out the dross. This has been one of the best exercises in not only writing, but in reading other disciplined writers.
