What can YOU say in six sentences?

Sixer's let's have a word. Actually lets give those in need a word. I guess what I am trying to say is some times you need a word for something and you just can't get one. Its frustrating when you want to describe something but cannot for the life of you and yours, come up with the perfect word. DO you ever get his or is it just me?

For example, in trying to describe this fruit I buy from a roadside vendor I would say it resembles a dandelion thats been flash-hardened, its kind of spikey, but the spikes are not really sharp, and they are not really spikes becuase they are short and squatty... The fruit is call Lee chee (best spelling I can give, its a Chinese fruit) There are other fruits that have a similiar skin, although they are larger in size and a different shape. For example Durian. Anybody got a word that would describe a skin like this?

Yeah, it's a great fruit. But how can I describe it's exterior? The inside is moist and an almost translucent pale white. The outside is... rough doesn't cover it, like a porcupine is wrong...

Another word I need is what is something that changes very frequently? I want to say to my wife she changes her mind like ..... what?

Daniel, Rich Hall came up with the word for new words needed to describe the heretofore indescribable:

It depends on how much I'm doing and how much sleep I had. We all go through this from time to time. But I have no clue what you're taliking about unless its the uggly fruit. Interesting read.

At my job we used canned lychee for a drink called a ginger caipharinia (spelling of that is wrong... sorry!). It's delicious. Sooo, I don't know the outside skin, but I think I've seen pictures.

What I do is I use the thesarus function on my word program; I mean, I depend on it. Start with an almost word, like spiny. See what comes up and follow the words until you either think of the right one or stumble upon the right one. Don't be afraid to use the Encarta dictionary definition under the thesarus... I have found even better words just by doing so.
