I received my copy of 6SV1 and am taking it slow in order to absorb the stories. Along the way, though, I'm noticing that I would like the opportunity to discuss stories with the contributing authors, as well as the readers. Comments, inspirations, motivations... you know, forum stuff that like minded individuals enjoy. Any takers?

Yeah, I'm dealing with a good friend newly diagnosed and right now I'm seeing much of the world through that filter. I think that's the power of good lit - you take your own meaning from it.

Yours was a nice take on the grass is greener...
Thanks, Linda. And I'm so sorry about your friend.

I enjoy writing with ambiguity, letting the reader come to their own conclusions.
I'm in awe of the folks with the courage and the talent to produce six sixes. Not to mention, insanely jealous ;). Still, I'm glad my one six got in--thanks for letting me play!
Keep at it, Don! Maybe in the near future we can be treated to an issue of Six Sixes from you? :)
Yeah, just keep writing, Don. The more you write in this format, the more natural it becomes to produce them.
It's definitely a goal to shoot for. I've been immersing myself in microfiction books lately, too. Though, I'm feeling the pull of a couple of longer works, too. I'll get there, I'm sure.

And, it's easier with encouragement, too :). Thanks, guys!
And another favorite, one of the shortest in the book: Peggy's "The Next Bestseller" (p.249). Doesn't every writer feel that way?
You know, I still don't know where all mine are. Just three - but I'm reading sequentially now.

Rob, I love the reading idea... and I'm wondering: maybe a series of readings. There are, for example, a few Baltimoreans on board (Mr. Steel for one, Jen for another) and perhaps something could be arranged down here. If other Baltimore/DC authors are interested, let me know.

I actually performed these three - plus three posted on the site - recently at a Unitarian Universalist event in the area. They were well received and everyone was fascinated by the concept of such short fiction. I hope it ended up sending new folks to 6S... Peace, Linda
Great idea, Linda! I'm getting serious about readings. It's a matter of securing venues, coordinating schedules, etc.

So cool that you performed your work! If you can ever get yourself videotaped, either by someone else or yourself, DO IT! We can all upload video to this site - it'd be great to see!
Ditto what Rob said. Love to see a video.
Any chance of a reading here in the Midwest? **hopeful grin**
Adam, for you... I'm sure folks would travel to the middle of America, with it's flat plains and no trees (grin). Peace, Linda
