I received my copy of 6SV1 and am taking it slow in order to absorb the stories. Along the way, though, I'm noticing that I would like the opportunity to discuss stories with the contributing authors, as well as the readers. Comments, inspirations, motivations... you know, forum stuff that like minded individuals enjoy. Any takers?

I'll have you know that we have hills (although Libby Sumner [Demonic Symphony] would contest that point) and many many trees. LoL I live in the southeastern portion of Iowa, right on the Missouri border. So we're not quite so flat as middle and northern Iowa. :) Click on the song I've included in this post, Linda. You'll get a chuckle out of it.

So how about it, Rob? Cedar Rapids Barnes & Noble? Iowa City? **grin**

Damn, that's funny! Reminds me of Durham - 'tobacco, tobacco, tobacco' was all you smelt driving in early morning.

But you have trees? We almost moved to Joliet and I was in shock - so flat.

I gotta come to Iowa just to see... the corn! Peace, Linda
Hmmm... no video. In thi age of youtube, my gosh (slaps forehead).

I called it a sixpack of sixes.

How would a reading thingy go? Booksigning? There IS a new Indy bookstore in my town that hosts readings - a fellow writer has one scheduled in early June. There also is the downtown Enoch Pratt, as well as the Pikesville B and N. Just keep me posted as to what YOU need - I'll try to figure out down here - IF we have critical mass.

Peace, Linda
A midwest book reading would be great - and I would travel! Of course, I don't have far to go, but count me in!
I just got my book yesterday - spent most of the night reading - What a great idea and a great book! GIve me time to read some more and I am in for some conversation!
This is what I've been craving since I stumbled upon the 6S website. Now, we are a community. All these names are developing into persons.

Thanks, Rob.
Amen, sister!
Hey Adam - I'm on! Now all I have to figure out is how to put up a picture. Thanks so much.

I agree Peggy, it has been interesting to *get to know* the writers just a little bit more through this venue. I have my favorites that I look for on 6S regularly and then I stumble across a new one and wish I knew more about the person behind the writing. Now it feels more personal, and since I have a tendency to be a bit of a voyeur this suits me just fine :P
I'd also like to be able to discuss stories w/ authors/readers. My 6SV1, only 1 1/2 weeks old, is already dog-eared. Time to put in an order for another copy.

Readings? What's everybody doing on June 6th at 6:06?
Ha! Now there's an idea!
